Library

Comprising more than 20,000 lights, gobos, trusses, etc. for wysiwyg, and 1000s of tables, chairs, place setting, linens, drapes, projections/screens, etc. for Vivien, CAST's e-Library is constantly maintained with industry-specific objects and texture files that interact with your software. You can download your Library at the time you install your software.

Updates to the Library are available for download from time to time -- provided you are a Valid Member. These e-Libraries are one of the most valuable components of our software, often sought after by others. From LEDs to automated lights, all types of fixtures, tables, chairs, centrepieces, and linens from all regions of the world, CAST's Libraries make our softwares the only solutions for truly international professionals.

Remember, only CAST certifies that all additions to the Library are completely accurate and fully reliable. Many hours are invested and a rigorous standard testing protocol is used for each library item to ensure model accuracy and reliability. As well, all Library fixtures and accessories are tested in wysiwyg before we release them to you. New additions to the Library are added all the time, so keep your eye on the website.

Searchable Library Browser:

Ever find yourself clicking through hundreds of Library files in search of a fixture or that perfect item for your file. In the Library browser, simply click the category tab that you're interested in, and then type the object name (or part of it) in the Search box at the top of the browser panel. All objects that match your query are shown. Note that on the Library tab, you have to select the folder in which your object is stored before you search.

Numerous Library Updates:

With every Release of wysiwyg and Vivien, our enormous Library continues to grow. At least a few times per year, our Library department compiles the latest fixtures, truss, gobos, gels, and other products that are popular in the industry and includes them as new items available from the Library Browser.

Our discipline and frequent additions mean we deliver reality so your work can be really virtually real.

Hookup to SketchUp

CAST has designed our Library to limitless ends by enabling you to import certain file types including Google SketchUp's 3D Warehouse - a collection of 3D models of buildings, bridges, cars, spaceships, futons, dinosaurs and everything else in the universe. It's completely free for everyone to use, and it's getting bigger every day.

In a bind - need a particular new Library object -- urgently?

For Members ONLY and responding to production professionals working under the gun, CAST Software's Library Department provides non-certified, Beta version fixture profiles, special lights (conventional to chandeliers), centrepieces, etc. should you need something that is not already in the more than 20,000 objects currently in the Library, often on a one day turnaround provided you can give us enough technical information about the fixture. These Beta fixture profiles are for your single-purpose use and will only be added to our Library after normal testing.
