Option to Lease

CAST offers you the option to lease wysiwyg or Vivien professional products an especially attractive option for new and occasional users. A Lease may be good for you if you think that because you use wysiwyg or Vivien occasionally or for only a short time each year you can't recover your investment. Leasing will save up-front $$ because the cost of a lease is substantially less than the cost of buying it outright. This is also good news for people who want to try our software before buying it.

Lease Agreement

Each Lease is governed by a Lease Agreement and you will be subject to CAST's standard End User Licence Agreement. Each new Lease Term starts with the current Release, full version of wysiwyg or Vivien and during the Term, you get all the Member Benefits - free Releases (product updates), unlimited Tech Support, bimonthly PLAN, and other information via email.

How the timing works

Each Lease Term is 12 continuous months starting when the Lease Agreement is registered by CAST. You cannot subdivide, interrupt or restart the Term. At the end of the Term, unless you purchase a new Term, the software will cease to operate. A subsequent Term can be purchased online via CAST's website to start at any time - either at the time of or after the expiry of the current Term -- at which time you will get a new (then current), full version of wysiwyg or Vivien. In other words, it is not necessary that Terms run continuously - there can be gaps of time without any penalty. Accordingly, with this new flexibility you can align the Term to match your professional needs.

Purchasing a Lease and additional Terms, and changing the product level

All Lease Terms are prepaid in full and can be purchased via CAST's website www.cast-soft.com. You will get a dongle delivered directly to you. You are obligated to properly register in CAST's dongle registration system. When you get the dongle, just plug it in - you're ready to go.

You can purchase additional 12-month Terms via CAST's website at which time CAST will email you a new Lease Code to initialize your dongle (this is important - otherwise you will have to purchase another one) for the new Term. You will be able to download the most current software release at that time.

If you want to upgrade or downgrade the product level, you can do so by purchasing, either during a current Term or at the beginning of a new Term, for that product. Should you do so during the Term, you will the forfeit any value of any unused portion of the remaining current Term. In other words, you will not receive any credit toward either the new Term or the purchase of wysiwyg or Vivien, as the case may be.
